This morning was unplanned - woken at 5:30am by cats, I decided to take a walk up to the pier. The sun rose at 6:21am today, so I had plenty of time to meander. The tide was in, but gently dropping, so the bay was full of calm water and quite a few jumping fish.
The sun rose a deep golden yellow, and today the people caught my eye. Brisbane is very much an early morning city, and at sunrise the foreshore is busy with runners, walkers with and without dogs, cyclists, fishers, and of course the odd photographer or two. It's a calm and peaceful time that leaves me grateful to be able to live here.
